Between the cold, snow, and Harrison napping regularly, we have been spending a lot of time at home...and I am not complaining!  We've been baking (Alaina's favorite pasttime)...

We found the BEST chocolate cupcake recipe.  We thought we made it wrong because the batter is more like soup before you bake it, but they are HEAVENLY.

Connor and Alaina have been playing better together recently (hallelujah), and I love finding little momentos of their adventures together.

Connor has had a few dollars burning a hole in his pocket, and he came home from school one day telling me that he was going to go over to a friend's house and buy Girl Scout cookies.  I told him that they would cost all the money he had, and he was completely fine with that.  He came home with his very own box of Samoas and was generous with sharing them.  He gave me two because I "do a lot of work every day". :)

I am absolutely adoring the baby stage that Harrison is in right now.  He's cute and smiley, loves to be held and talked to, and is getting a bit easier in terms of being able to put him down somewhere with a toy.  No more bathroom trips with a baby on my lap - hooray! :)

We've gotten lots of beautiful snowstorms in the past couple of weeks.  I know Dad will relate to this:  snow is so much prettier when you don't have to drive in it!   The pattern seems to be snow one day, followed by sun the next, which makes everything so bright.  The other day I had all of the blinds open, and actually wore my sunglasses inside.  Awesome.

We were all excited for the Broncos to play in the Superbowl...

The boys even decorated the place.

Ray was absolutely beside himself with excitement...

...until we saw the first play.  WHAT WAS THAT?!  We all know how the rest of the game went, so we'll just stop talking about it.

Pretty winter pictures are nicer than football anyway.
